With less than two years left on his contract, Juventus have started to consider what to do with goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny.

The 33-year-old Pole joined the Bianconeri in the summer of 2017 and took over as the starting goalkeeper after the departure of veteran Gianluigi Buffon, doing well enough to become a regular feature in Turin.

After a slow start to the season, Szczesny has continued to impress for Juventus this term and the club are aware that decisions will need to be made regarding his future in the coming months.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, Juventus’ reflections have led them to two solutions for Szczesny’s future – the first is a long-term contract renewal until 2028 with a reduced salary, and the second is a sale next summer.

A middle ground between these two options could be the right path for the Bianconeri; the club could offer him a new deal lasting until 2026, giving them time to find the right replacement for the Pole.
