Gianluigi Buffon said his former side Juventus alongside are Inter are favourites for the 2022-23 Serie A title ahead of champions Milan.
The Parma goalkeeper did, however, explain he thought Milan were slightly below their rivals last season – and the Rossoneri went on to win their first Scudetto in 11 years.
Speaking to La Stampa, he said: “I see Juventus and Inter ahead of everyone else with the Bianconeri holding a slight advantage.
“And Milan just behind. I thought they were last season but they were very good at giving their all.”
Both Juve and Inter have strengthened this summer with the Bianconeri set to add Paul Pogba to Ángel Di Maria, while Nerazzurri have signed André Onana, Kristjan Asllani, Raoul Bellanova, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Romelu Lukaku.
However, both look set to lose a key defender with Juve’s Matthijs de Ligt a target for Chelsea and Bayern Munich, while Inter’s Milan Škriniar has been the subject of several bids from Paris Saint-Germain.
Milan, meanwhile, have so far only signed Divock Origi on a free transfer.
oh, gr8. More motivation for Milan to prove everyone wrong YET AGAIN!
