Juventus give up on Rabiot after latest offer rejected

Juventus have decided to give up on Adrien Rabiot after their latest contract offer to the French midfielder was rejected.

The 29-year-old is currently a free agent after his contract with the Bianconeri came to an end at the start of this month. He postponed a decision over his future during the European Championship, leaving things uncertain as the summer transfer market opened.

Juventus were keen to retain Rabiot and offered him a two-year contract worth €7.5m net per season plus add-ons, which also included an option for a third year. In recent days, the Frenchman decided to reject their proposal.

La Gazzetta dello Sport highlights how Juventus have now decided not to propose a new offer with Rabiot, ending their five-year relationship together. Thiago Motta would’ve been happy to keep the player, but no agreement could be reached. Cristiano Giuntoli confirmed the news in a press conference.

The 29-year-old France international is now looking around for his next adventure and has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United, who were also interested in his services last year, and Real Madrid.
