According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, new Juventus director Cristiano Giuntoli has targeted Betis starlet Rodri Sánchez who is also wanted by Napoli and has a €40m release clause.

Giuntoli arrived in Turin on Tuesday to visit the club’s training facilities and Juventus are expected to confirm his appointment later this week.

According to Gazzetta, the 51-year-old has targeted Betis starlet Rodri Sánchez, a versatile 23-year-old midfielder he had already monitored at Napoli.

The Partenopei remain interested in the Spaniard, but according to Gazzetta, Juventus will soon join the race for his signature.

The Spaniard is under contract until June 2026 with Betis Sevilla and has a €40m clause. Juventus and Napoli are not expected to pay such a fee but will likely negotiate a lower price.

Sánchez can play as an attacking midfielder, a right or left winger in a 4-3-3 system or a support striker in a 3-5-2 formation which Massimiliano Allegri often used in the second part of 2022-23.
