Reports in Italy claim Juventus stars Leonardo Bonucci and Wojciech Szczesny will be available for Saturday’s Serie A clash against Roma.

Bonucci missed Juventus’ second game of the season against Samp with a flexor injury, while the Poland international has yet to make his Serie A debut in 2022-23 after collecting an injury against Atletico Madrid in the last pre-season friendly at the beginning of August.

Sky Sport Italia and Calciomercato.com report that Max Allegri is confident both players will recover in time for Saturday’s clash with Roma at the Allianz Stadium.

According to Sky Italia, Szczesny will start while Bonucci will make a final decision with Juventus’ medical staff. The Italy international had travelled to Marassi on Monday night despite not being 100% fit.

In the meantime, Paul Pogba continues his recovery and is expected to return to training on the pitch in the coming days.

Juventus have released a statement after this morning’s training session at Continassa.

“A big match is set for Saturday 27th August at 18:30 CEST, as Roma will arrive at the Allianz Stadium for Matchday Three of the 2022/23 Serie A season.

“Juventus convened at the JTC this morning to start preparing for the match against the Giallorossi, who themselves recorded a 1-0 win over Cremonese this weekend. The session was divided into technical exercises for the movement of the ball and tactics for the non-possession phase. At the end the workout concluded with a mini-match for the non-starters of Sampdoria-Juve. Tomorrow we meet once again in the morning.”

  1. If he INSISTS on using a regista – he must start Rovella. He’s the only natural regista in the team. Loca is wasted there. It’s not his position!!!

Otherwise do something different! It’s a proven point that Rabiot-Loca-McKennie DOES NOT WORK.

  2. Good now the PhD Max’s hexagon ball will be complete. Matrix Revolutions Calcio Champagne will be on offer this saturday and expect the tifosi to fall asleep after 7.23 seconds.
