Juventus are looking to pick up a new centre back in January and are reportedly keeping a close eye on Strahinja Pavlovic’s work at the World Cup with Serbia.

The Bianconeri signed Gleison Bremer for €40m in the summer but it’s clear that one signing isn’t enough to fix a department, so the club are preparing to return to the market to further strengthen the backline available to Massimiliano Allegri.

Players like Daniele Rugani, Federico Gatti and Leonardo Bonucci are all struggling to show their best at Juventus for different reasons, prompting a reaction from the club’s management.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, Juventus’ dream option to strengthen their backline is RB Leipzig’s Joško Gvardiol, but the player would cost around €60m and is heavily wanted by Chelsea.

A cheaper and more accessible option is the 21-year-old Pavlovic, who joined RB Salzburg from Monaco in the summer. Juventus have been fans of the Serbian defender for a while now and will closely follow his work at the World Cup ahead of a possible move in January.
