Juventus full-back Mattia De Sciglio reportedly showed Giorgio Chiellini’s messages to prosecutors during the investigation, prompting fans to turn on him as a ‘rat’ and ‘traitor.’

The club is under investigation for alleged financial irregularities, including inflated transfer fees for capital gains and paying players under the table.

Officially, the squad had agreed to give up four months of wages to help Juve through the COVID-19 pandemic during the first lockdown in 2020, but from the very start they had known the salary would be paid eventually.

This was confirmed by WhatsApp messages sent by captain Chiellini to the rest of the team.

These messages were shown to Turin public prosecutors by former Juve defender Matthijs de Ligt, who has since moved to Bayern Munich, and current full-back De Sciglio.

Considering he is still at the club, De Sciglio has been blamed by some fans for collaborating with the prosecutor and providing evidence.

He posted an Instagram message marking their return to training only to find it inundated with insults calling him things including ‘rat, traitor and narc.’

This caught the attention of fans from other clubs, who rushed to his defence and thanked him for his courage.

  1. This is what happens when you follow you follow PhD Max and ruin your ability or what ever was left and move to sneaky blinders. Better to come clean now then risk having to wear the hamburglar kit in the big house.

  2. LORD ALLEGRI PATRON SAINT OF SLOW BALL is an utterly one dimensional contributor to this forum. Ban him

  3. Isn’t it funny, that there’s one decent guy in the whole club who is actually honest, so the rubentini turn on him. This says it all about them.

  4. Profile picture son. Acts like a blue check mark. Original and the one and only. Now go eat your fish and chips, haddock or cod, your choice lol.

  5. I remember when the theory was that the reason Allegri took him with him wherever he went was because De Sciglio was the dressing room spy.

I guess that theory is now proven.

  6. I don’t turn on De Sciglio for being a rat but for being a terrible player for years. Completely overrated.
