Juventus fans turn on Allegri after Kulusevski masterclass for Tottenham

Dejan Kulusevski once again lit up the Premier League for Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur, only increasing the number of fans blaming Max Allegri for his failure to deliver at Juventus.

The Sweden international has provided more Premier League assists in 2022 than any other player, having made the move on loan with obligation to buy in January.

He started where he left off last season, scoring a goal and providing an assist in the 4-1 win over Southampton, which opened their season this afternoon.

Naturally, this performance – shown live on Sky Sport Italia – prompted an outpouring of irritation from Juventus fans who didn’t want him to be sold.

“Kulusevski is the perfect representation of the difference between being coached by Allegri and being coached by Conte,” wrote one supporter.

“Those who said Kulusevski was not worthy of Juventus might perhaps see it the other way round: Serie A was wasted on Kulusevski,” noted another.

The difference in focus on tactics has freed up the Swede to move around and “enjoy his football, something we seem to have forgotten in Italy.”

Some sniped at Allegri, suggesting he will try the same on Angel Di Maria and “try to turn him into a full-back too.”
