Juventus fans rebel on social media after Monza defeat

Juventus fans are going wild online after the historic defeat to Monza, calling for Max Allegri to be fired and a complete overhaul of the squad.

The Bianconeri are in complete crisis after back-to-back Champions League defeats to PSG and Benfica, winning only two Serie A games all season.

This afternoon they were stunned 1-0 at the U-Power Stadium by a Monza side who earned their first ever Serie A point, with Angel Di Maria sent off and Raffaele Palladino making his debut on the bench.

The squad went under the away end at the final whistle to accept the jeers and insults from the travelling fans.

Others took to social media and lambasted this as the low point in the Juventus project that has been slowly going off the rails for a while now.

“We are watching the failure of a football club’s project. It is failure on and off the field,” wrote one supporter.

Allegri was in the stands today, sitting out a one-match ban, and there was footage of him receiving a police escort to get back to the team bus.

“If I were Allegri, I’d stay in Monza and just not return to Turin,” wrote another, while some simply pointed the coach towards some packed suitcases.

“I lived through the Maifredi and Del Neri eras, but I’ve never been so ashamed as I am today. Eras start and end, but you can at least abdicate with a little dignity! Nobody can avoid the blame!”
