Juventus fans have reacted on social media as Bianconeri loanee Aaron Ramsey missed the decisive penalty kick in the Europa League Final against Eintracht Frankfurt last night.

Ramsey joined Rangers on a six-month loan in January and has managed two goals in 13 appearances across all competitions in Scotland.

He was introduced in the final minutes of extra time of the Europa League Final against Eintracht Frankfurt yesterday to take a penalty kick in the shootout. However, the former Arsenal man was the only one to miss the spot kick leading to the Germans’ victory.

Juventus congratulated the Bundesliga side on their achievement and thousands of Bianconeri fans commented on Ramsey’s error on social media.

Most Juve supporters don’t have good memories of the Welshman who failed to have an impact during his two-year and a half spell at the Allianz Stadium. Ramsey struggled with injuries in Turin and only managed six goals in 70 appearances across all competitions with the black and white shirt.

  1. Omicron Simone coaching Rangers would have been a step down for him. Only Internazionale Peking have the genius foresight to hire a coach who was hibernating in a Buddhist Temple for 2 years. The one practicing the further arts of the “Feng Shui” reverse loser ball.

  2. They didn’t give him away because he misses penalties – anyone can miss a penalty.

They gave him away because he’s not up to it in general. Dreadful signing to begin with on those astronomical wages.

Best thing Juve can do is give him away for good this summer.

  3. How do these people at FI allow @ the Lord imposter to put up such incendiary language. Funny how there are no jokes about Middle Eastern, Russian and American ownership. The Inter owners are based in Jiangsu genius. Peking is now Beijing, but I guess Geography is not your strong point.

  4. @FERBAN:

Which other club would be so delusional to pay for Ramsey`s wage and his agent`s 3M/year commissions LOL? Let alone transfer fee.

  5. Indeed Ramsey can miss a penalty, as can anyone. The bigger issue is how to offload such an expensive leech. Paratici has a lot to answer for. Hope he goes to Tottenham.

  6. @ I Miss Paratici

I said they’d be giving him away, so there’d be no need for a transfer fee. It’s unlikely Juve will get one now.

Juve were dumb enough to buy him, and there are plenty more out there who’d do the same. A desperate epl side or one of those Turkish clubs that buy has-been “names” on a regular basis might take him.

  7. Thanks Ramsey.
Because of you, Milan earned an extra 3M from bonuses for the Hauge deal.
Florenzi is going to be redeemed because of Juve, who would have guessed.

  8. Congratulations to Eintracht Frankfurt for scoring all of their penalties, and anyone can miss a penalty. Just look at Roberto Baggio, one of the best trequartiste of all time.

  9. As soon as Ramsey was subbed on as a juve Fan one just knew he was going to miss a penalty and sadly he didn’t disappoint! I was however hoping he would score so rangers might keep him another season unfortunately looks like they are going to send him back to Italy!
