Juventus fans have been left frustrated with Angel Di Maria and Leandro Paredes following recent posts on social media.

The 34-year-old winger joined the Bianconeri on a free transfer in the summer, signing a one-year contract after leaving Paris Saint-Germain. Excitement was high for Di Maria and fans expected him to provide a key attacking boost to Massimiliano Allegri’s squad, but the 34-year-old has struggled to make a strong impression, failing to contribute to a goal since his debut.

Di Maria posted an advertisement for Adidas on his Instagram page today, wearing an Argentina shirt. Juventus fans were clearly unhappy with this and made their feelings clear in the comments, suggesting that he joined the club just to stay fit enough for the upcoming World Cup in Qatar.

Some of the comments on Di Maria’s post include “you came to take a holiday in Turin for 7 million to play 2 full games in 3 months”, “you are the worthy heir of that parasite Ramsey” and “do us a favour, after the World Cup don’t come back, we don’t need players who only think of their own interests like you who, for now, earn €23,000 a minute, what the vast majority of Italians earn in two years!”

Similar accusations are also being laid at Leandro Paredes, who joined Juventus on loan from PSG. The midfielder celebrated Boca Juniors’ league title on his social media outlets, leading to similar comments from the Bianconeri faithful.

7 thought on “Juventus fans quickly losing patience with Di Maria and Paredes”
  1. He is probably not wrong, but you hate to see a guy throwing in the towel so early. They haven’t even played a third of the season.

  2. This is what you get when directors signs mercenaries that have no attachment to the club AND you have a disgusting fan base.
