Juventus pair Dusan Vlahovic and Filip Kostic combined to create a goal for Serbia against Norway this evening, which inevitably got fans criticising Max Allegri again.

Kostic sprinted to the by-line and pulled it back where Vlahovic was ready to turn in from six yards at the near post.

Seeing the two players run with intent, provide support and be in the right position to receive service was a very different image to the one Juve fans have observed so far this season.

Vlahovic in particular has been left painfully isolated upfront and visibly frustrated at the situation, even though the 22-year-old did score four goals in eight games between Serie A and the Champions League.

The former Fiorentina striker also played a part in the second goal, scored by Aleksandar Mitrovic on an assist from Verona midfielder Ivan Ilic.

Comments on social media were largely similar, suggesting what a difference it makes to see these players under the guidance of ‘a real coach’ in Dragan Stojkovic rather than Allegri.

Some joked that their celebrations after the goal were in fact Vlahovic and Kostic screaming ‘we need a coach!’

  1. CALMAAA!!!

PhD Max is like an open university with many courses dedicated to the back, back, down down. A little respect for the legend of hexagon shapes and those 2 CL finals. Tranquillo. They will soon be back to their best. Dusan is getting excited when the Allegrisaurus puts him in defence. He can touch the ball every 2 seconds.
