Juventus are incredibly keen to sign Mauro Icardi but an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain may be impossible to reach this month.

Coach Massimiliano Allegri has asked the Bianconeri to sign a new forward in this month’s transfer window, especially important considering Alvaro Morata’s desire to join Barcelona, and the club are looking to secure a reinforcement on loan, rather than signing a player outright.

As reported by SportMediaset, one of Allegri’s top options is the 28-year-old Icardi, who is contracted to PSG until 2024. The Italian coach has been a fan of the Argentinian striker for a long time now and the player would welcome a return to Italy, but there is an issue regarding the formula of the deal.

Juventus only want to sign a player on loan, but PSG are only open to letting Icardi leave on a definitive transfer, as the French side want to earn around €100m from transfers in this month’s transfer window.

The Bianconeri now need to find a way to convince the Ligue 1 side to let the Argentinian leave on loan, which may be impossible to reach this month. The Turin side do need to sign a new forward, however, and their list of options is currently limited.

  1. Terrible this allegri, why he need this little primadona, he is not good and psg is perfect place for him to earn money, not juve. Juve need vlahovic or at least Milik and not icardi not Aubamayang not Origi

  2. Avoid this guy at all costs as I do not care about his soap opera lifestyle and baggage he brings. On his day he is a good poacher but has nothing else to offer. We need midfield reinforcements asap and a striker who is more mobile. I would never bring in any player that betrayed his former best friend. Character is worth more then to take these two scum bags.

  3. As far as i recall, Icardi scored the most goals for inter against juventus, he always managed to outsprint the juve defense and beat buffon. Icardi would be good for Allegri counter attack style he can hold the ball and he has speed and with chiesa and cuadrado he would be a better option the moratta and kean for sure. but even with him Juve still need a central midfielder who can create play. I woul trade icardi for the current injury prone dybala anytime.

  4. Juvefan, you’re most rational fan here. Icardi is dangerous in Serie A. Maybe he lost his skills going to France but I think he is still good striker. Juve would be much stronger with Icardi. I hope you don’t get him.

  5. Not need this icardi, milik would be still much more useful and less problems in dressing room and team chemistry
