Juventus have been working to tie down Samuel Iling-Junior to a new contract but interest from RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt has reportedly complicated things.

The 19-year-old English winger is a product of Chelsea’s youth system and joined the Bianconeri in September 2020 in a deal worth around €130,000. He was given his Juventus first team debut by Massimiliano Allegri in the 4-0 win over Empoli and also played 20 minutes in the 4-3 loss to Benfica, providing an assist.

As highlighted by Corriere dello Sport, Iling-Junior’s current contract expires with Juventus in 2023 and the club were confident that a new deal could quickly be agreed, but in a recent meeting with the teenager’s agent the interest of RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt was discussed.

The Englishman’s agent now wants to discuss his client’s sporting prospects and possible long-term inclusion in the first team. The Bianconeri are still optimistic that an agreement will come but now they’ll have to work quicker than they hoped.

  1. Crazy to play such player and than lose him for nothing, better than needed to hide him for everyones eyes… So stupid govenment

  2. The fact that Frankfurt have an eye on him explains that Iling is so mpressing at another level compared to their Kostic.
