La Gazzetta dello Sport reports Dusan Vlahovic has the best minute-per-goal ratio in Serie A in his career so the Bianconeri will discuss a contract extension once and if they officially qualify for the Champions League.
Vlahovic inspired Juventus’ 2-0 win over Lazio in the Coppa Italia semifinal first leg on Tuesday with his 16th goal in 28 appearances across all competitions this season.
As reported on page 14 of La Gazzetta dello Sport’s printed edition on Thursday, the Serbia international has the best minute-per-goal ratio in Serie A in his career, having netted once every 119 minutes. It’s even better than in the 2021-22 campaign when he managed one goal every 127 minutes for Fiorentina and Juventus.
The pink paper highlights that Vlahovic has become a leader at the Allianz Stadium and enjoys life in Turin, both on and off the pitch.
Therefore, Juventus have already started talks to extend his contract beyond 2026, but a formal meeting with the striker’s agent, Darko Ristic, will only take place once and if Juventus qualify for the Champions League.
The club’s primary in 2023-24 is to play in Europe’s elite competition next season, as doing so would provide vital financial resources. On the other hand, Vlahovic’s sale would not be ruled out if the Bianconeri failed to finish in the top four.
