Dejan Kulusevski and Weston McKennie have returned to squad training as they work to be available for Juventus’ upcoming match against Bologna.

The pair have both been absent recently with the 21-year-old Swedish forward undergoing surgery last week to resolve an acute sinusitis problem, whilst the 23-year-old American midfielder has been out with a knee injury.

Romeo Agresti highlights how both Kulusevski and McKennie took part in the squad training session today at the Juventus Training Centre, preparing for Saturday’s match against Bologna.

Kulusevski has not managed to show his best under coach Massimiliano Allegri this season, with the Swedish forward failing to find the back of the net in any of his 14 Serie A appearances.

McKennie has faired a little better under the 54-year-old Italian coach, with two goals in 11 appearances in Serie A. Recent reports from Italy suggest that he could be reluctantly sold in next month’s transfer window in order to generate funds and lighten up the wage bill a little.

Manuel Locatelli didn’t train today due to slight gastroenteritis, while Giorgio Chiellini, Alex Sandro, Luca Pellegrini and Paulo Dybala trained in the gym.

  1. McKennie should be used like Kante, just sit in front of backline to win the ball back. Hopeless in possession.
