Paul Pogba has not been included in Juventus‘ squad list for tonight’s Europa League match against SC Freiburg for disciplinary reasons, while Federico Chiesa should start on the bench.

The France international has only made two appearances for the Bianconeri this season, suffering a meniscus injury during the pre-season.

He didn’t train with the rest of the team on Wednesday and Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri has now dropped him for the first leg of the Europa League Round of 16 against Freiburg.

According to Juventus correspondent Romeo Agresti, Pogba showed up late for Wednesday’s retreat and has been dropped by Allegri for disciplinary reasons.

Mattia De Sciglio, Kaio Jorge and Arek Milik are missing tonight’s match because of injuries, while Federico Chiesa is available.

However, the Italian winger is not expected to start tonight, sources have told Football Italia.

Allegri will likely deploy a 3-5-1-1 system with Angel Di Maria behind Dusan Vlahovic.

Alex Sandro was tried in the starting line-up this morning and should get the nod in a three-man defence with his compatriots Danilo and Gleison Bremer.

  1. Why the hell has the best Italian player, Chiesa, become a super sub under Allegri?????? Why would you not want him for 70-80 minutes instead of 15-20 minutes????

  2. I’m learning that allegri is a control freak , like many coaches .. they refuse to make a player more powerful than themselves.. it’s ALL about allegri not Chiesa
