Juventus won their appeal to gain access to a secret document sent by the FIGC to Covisoc yesterday and in that they discovered another document they’re keen to get their hands on.

Tuttosport details how the Council of State forced the FIGC Prosecutor’s Office to hand over the now-infamous ‘Note 10940’ to the Bianconeri and their lawyers yesterday after the FIGC’s counter-appeal was rejected.

The document itself was not particularly relevant to Juventus’ case and the club were not mentioned in any of the six pages of correspondence between Covisoc and the FIGC Prosecutor’s Office.

What did catch Juventus’ eye, however, was the reference to another Covisoc document dated March 31 2021, around two weeks older than Note 10940. The club’s lawyers are keen to gain access to this document, believing that it could change the Old Lady’s fate.

Juventus are looking for a document that’ll show that the investigation into their usage of capital gains started much earlier than officially stated, which would lead to a violation of the procedural timeframe. The expectation is that proving this will help them overturn the 15-point deduction they were given in January.
