Reports are growing that Juventus have agreed to send defender Daniele Rugani to Ajax on a dry one-year loan.

According to both Sportitalia transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà and Calciomercato.com, an agreement has been reached between the two clubs.

Rugani has also given the all-clear to completing the transfer to Amsterdam for the Dutch giants.

The centre-back turned 30 earlier this week and recently signed a new contract with Juventus to June 2026.

However, he does not appear to be part of the plans for new coach Thiago Motta.

Rugani not required by Juventus

There were several clubs linked with a potential loan move this summer, including Genoa, Atalanta, Bologna, Fiorentina and Saudi Pro League side Al-Shabab.

It would seem as if Rugani is heading towards Ajax and it will be a dry loan, so there is no option to buy at the end of the season.

He joined the Juve youth academy in 2012 and has had loans with Empoli, Stade Rennes and Cagliari.
