Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo visited Merih Demiral yesterday to say goodbye to the defender ahead of his move to Atalanta.

Ronaldo visited Demiral in his apartment in Turin before the Turkish defender’s departure for Bergamo.

Demiral will join Atalanta on an initial loan deal with an option to buy for circa €30m.

The Turkish defender will replace Cristian Romero who is on the verge of joining Tottenham on a €55m move.

Demiral missed Wednesday’s training session at Continassa and Ronaldo met him in the evening.

They spent the last two seasons together as the Turkish defender moved to Turin from Sassuolo in 2019.

The pic was published by Demiral’s agent on social media.

  1. I don’t understand the logic behind this transfer. Why repeat the same mistake as that of Cristian Romero to the same team, strengthening your close rival while also helping them to raise lots of fund from a player you gave out to them almost for free.

  2. Demiral was the future of Juve. He and de Ligt. Juve’s policy in the past was successful in terms of transfers . But recent years have become a disaster. Look what happened to the deals of Spinazzola and Romeo, and now Demiral Sorry… Sorry.
