Juventus are reportedly looking to sell Weston McKennie and Aaron Ramsey this winter, while targeting Monaco midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni.

Tuttosport reports the Bianconeri are hoping to sign 21-year-old Tchouaméni from the Ligue 1 side, but might have to sacrifice some of the players already in the squad.

The newspaper reveals the club is ready to let former Schalke 04 midfielder McKennie leave after one and a half season at the club.

The USA international had a positive start at the Bianconeri under Andrea Pirlo but has struggled to convince Max Allegri since the pre-season retreat ahead of 2021-22.

Ramsey played more for Wales than Juve since March

McKennie was wanted in the Premier League and by German clubs during the summer, but a potential move never materialised reportedly due to the player’s wages and the €25m transfer fee Juventus paid for the American, including the initial paid loan.

Ramsey turns 31 in December and has a lucrative deal until June 2023 in Turin, but the Bianconeri are, according to Tuttosport, hoping to get rid of the Wales international already in January.

The former Arsenal player has only played 98 minutes in Serie A under Allegri and struggles to break into Allegri’s team.

The duo might be sacrificed for Juventus to make a move for Tchouaméni, who has impressed at Monaco since joining from Girondins de Bordeaux in January 2020.

The youngster made his debut for France in September and has been capped three times by the national side, and has played 60 competitive games with Monaco – contributing five goals and four assists.

  1. @El Cid
Very Short-sighted, at best, and the fan of a rival that’s just looking to troll at worst.

Juventus has never been a team that buys stars for ridiculous amounts on money, and essentially buys championships…. It is only recently that they have started this non-sense, and the results of such stupidity are revealing themselves now.

We have always MADE stars, not purchased them.

Who was Zidane before he came to Juve?
    Who was Ibra?
Even Del Piero, and Buffon, were brought in as relative unknowns and made into LEGENDS at Juventus.

My point is that picking up FUTURE players on the cheap, and MAKING them into superstars is our way, and we are the most successful team in Italy, both on the field and in the boardroom, because of that very fact.

Unless, and until we go back to that we will not go back to the top.

  2. lol one’s trash is treasure for someone else. Cant wait for these 2 to be GONEEEE. I would also put Rabiot into the mix…its becoming a pain to watch him apart from onecies here and there.

  3. @JuveIndia cant agree more. Bentancur is another. Hope we can get rid of them and replace with young, quality midfielders.

  4. The rotten legacy of Paratici is coming to haunt us – it’s not gone now that the ridiculous Ronaldo experiment is thankfully over. Beppe Morotta may have made some goofs (Gonzo’s transfer fee and Sami Khedira’s 6m contract extension spring to mind), but putting Ramsey on the 200 k per week net (some rumours say it’s up to 400k a week with bonuses) was SIMPLY PURE MADNESS.

Not that taking a risk on Ramsey was a bad idea – he was after all a very fine player at Arsenal, and that is why Bayern and few other clubs were after him the same as Juve were, but he was on £100k a week GROSS at Arsenal! So to give him a 100%+ pay rise was sheer stupidity, as at the time no clubs in the EPL were considering offering him those kind of wages, and now NO clubs in Europe will match the wages he gets with Juve to take him off our hands.

So guess what is coming down the line? Yep, just like Gonzo and Khedira another big contract payoff will HAVE to be done to get Ramsey out of the club. It will cost us millions to shift him off the books when he like his Wales compatriot Bale can just sit around and loiter on the subs bench making millions per season for doing almost nothing. Good job Mr Paratici, well done 🙂

  5. As they say in boxing, styles make the fight. Mckennie showed promise under Pirlo and I think he would do very well in the PL. Under Allegri, he hasn’t been great and with the added behavioral situation I bet his mind is not purely on the task at hand. As for Ramsey, I don’t know, I’m not certain he was ever given the proper chance. Rabiot did well last year.
