Juventus are continuing in their pursuit of luring Napoli sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli away from the Stadio Maradona in the summer after an eight-year spell with the Partenopei.

The 51-year-old executive has been cited as one of the key architects behind Napoli’s recent Scudetto success, playing a crucial role in the transfer market, having helped to identify and acquire the likes of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Kim Min-jae, Mathias Olivera and Giacomo Raspadori last summer.

However, despite his recent success in Naples, and club President Aurelio De Lautentiis’ intentions of going all the way in the Champions League in the coming years, Giuntoli is tipped to jump ship and join the Bianconeri at the end of the season.

According to reports in La Gazzetta dello Sport on Tuesday morning, Giuntoli’s potential move to Turin seems to be moving closer.

In the event that he does leave to join Juve, the two clubs would need to negotiate a compensation package, given that Giuntoli still has a year left on his Napoli contract.

Juventus are also not the only interested party, with admirers in the Premier League, namely Manchester United and Tottenham, also having expressed an interest in bringing Giuntoli on board.

As reported in Gazzetta, Napoli are confident that they have all the necessary plans in place if Giuntoli does decide to leave the club in the summer.

The management team have supposedly already laid out their plans for the upcoming transfer window, and Napoli have a preferred replacement lined up in the form of Empoli’s Pietro Accardi should Giuntoli switch allegiances.
