Juventus are looking to appoint a new sporting director and they’ve reportedly contacted Gianluca Petrachi.

The Bianconeri are desperate to right the ship in Turin after their incredibly poor start to the season, which has left them 8th in the Serie A table and with zero points in the Champions League. Massimiliano Allegri will not be dismissed, so the club are looking for other ways to strengthen the project in Piedmont.

As reported by Il Giornale, Juventus want to pick up a new sporting director and have contacted Petrachi to explore a possible deal. The 53-year-old Italian has been out of work in the world of football since leaving Roma in June 2020.

Petrachi is a close friend of Antonio Conte and his appointment could reignite the rumours that the Italian coach could return to Turin, although things are seemingly going well in North London with Tottenham currently.

Prior to his year in the Italian capital, Petrachi spent nine years working as Torino’s sporting director.
