Juventus are reportedly trying to bring Miralem Pjanic back on a two-year loan, with Barcelona even paying part of his salary.

The midfielder made the switch to Camp Nou last summer in exchange for Arthur Melo, but neither player made much of an impact at their new clubs.

Max Allegri’s comeback to the Bianconeri bench raised the prospect of a reunion with Pjanic.

According to the Corriere dello Sport, Barcelona would be open to a two-season loan deal.

They’d even be prepared to pay a portion of his salary, as the €6.5m per year is far too much for Juve to sustain.

Bosnia and Herzegovina international Pjanic knows that he won’t find space at Barcelona under coach Ronald Koeman.

The 31-year-old would come to Juve as another midfield option to replace Aaron Ramsey, so the Turin giants are still chasing Sassuolo and Italy talent Manuel Locatelli as well.

Pjanic spent four years at Juventus after his €32m transfer from Roma.
