According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus have resumed their interest in PSG midfielder Leandro Paredes and could offer Moise Kean in a swap deal.

Juventus are set to sign Paul Pogba on a free transfer from Manchester United, but Max Allegri wants more new faces in midfield and Paredes is a long-time target of the Old Lady. His contract in Paris runs out in 2024 and according to Gazzetta, Juventus want to get him in a swap deal with Kean.

Is Pogba enough to solve Juventus’ midfield problems?

The Italy international played in Paris in 2020-21 and had a disappointing spell at Juventus last season when he only scored six goals in 44 appearances across all competitions.

He had returned to the Allianz Stadium a year ago, on an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy from Everton, but the Bianconeri are eager to offload him in the summer.

Paredes will reportedly meet PSG directors in the coming weeks to discuss his future. He knows he is not at the centre of their project and would be happy to return to Italy, where he played for Empoli and Roma.

  1. Small matter I know, but Juventus do not have Moise Kean’s contract, Everton do. So Juventus should not be in discussions with any team for the transfer of Kean until the own his contract.
