Although he was born in Wellington, as the name suggests, Cacace has an Italian passport and would therefore be able to register as an EU player.

Sint-Truiden only signed him from Wellington Phoenix in August 2020 for €1.2m.

His value on the transfer market has already shot up thanks to two assists in 16 Jupiler Pro League appearances.

Although only 20, Cacace already has three senior caps for New Zealand.
