Juventus are reportedly in negotiations with Belgian club Sint-Truiden for New Zealand international left-back Liberato Cacace.

According to Sky Sport Italia and Calciomercato.com, the deal would be worth in the region of €5-6m.

The two clubs already have a good business rapport, so the talks should be able to progress relatively smoothly.

It’s believed the 20-year-old would be initially sent to play with the Juventus Under-23 team, which competes in Serie C.

Although he was born in Wellington, as the name suggests, Cacace has an Italian passport and would therefore be able to register as an EU player.

Sint-Truiden only signed him from Wellington Phoenix in August 2020 for €1.2m.

His value on the transfer market has already shot up thanks to two assists in 16 Jupiler Pro League appearances.

Although only 20, Cacace already has three senior caps for New Zealand.
