Juventus have officially confirmed their squad numbers for the 2022-23 season, which features a few changes and possible hints.

The majority of players kept their numbers the same as last campaign, but the notable changes include Manuel Locatelli, who switched from 27 to number 5, which was left free by Arthur Melo, who switched to 44 ahead of his departure from the club.

Weston McKennie decided to take the number 8 shirt, changing from the number 14 after two years. New signing Filip Kostic took the number 17, which was left vacant after Luca Pellegrini joined Eintracht Frankfurt on loan.

Some have suggested that McKennie’s decision to switch numbers could be a sign that Memphis Depay, who currently wears the number 14 with Barcelona, is close to arriving.

Other new arrivals’ numbers were also confirmed; Gleison Bremer picked number 3, Paul Pogba will wear number 10 and Angel Di Maria will wear number 22.
