Dusan Vlahovic is keeping Juventus anxious ahead of his return from his post-World Cup holiday, still dealing with a groin issue.

The 22-year-old striker only started one of Serbia’s three group games at the tournament in Qatar, not being at full fitness. Vlahovic missed Juventus’ last five consecutive matches across Serie A and the Champions League with an adductor issue and the stresses of the World Cup didn’t allow him to fully recover his strength.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus are concerned about Vlahovic’s condition and have set up a number of medical tests for him to take upon his return. The 22-year-old will be back in Turin in the early stages of next week.

The Bianconeri are worried that the Serbian star is still dealing with a groin issue, something that has plagued him earlier this year.

It’s likely that Vlahovic will carry out individual training work in Continassa and there are slim fears that he’ll miss the first game of 2023 against Cremonese.
