Massimiliano Allegri had something to smile about following Juventus’ 1-1 draw with FC Nantes after the birth of his grandson.

It was a frustrating outing for the Old Lady in the first leg of their Europa League knock-out playoff clash with Nantes, being held to a draw at home despite a number of close chances and a missed penalty call in the dying minutes of the match. Juventus will be hoping to take revenge in the second leg in France on February 23.

As highlighted by ANSA, it wasn’t all doom and gloom for Allegri following Juventus’ draw with Nantes, as his daughter Valentina gave birth to a son, Filippo. The club congratulated the new grandparent on their social media outlets.

In the meantime, Juventus have resumed work after their Europa League disappoint, preparing for the upcoming league clash with Spezia. Allegri will have to find a replacement for Gleison Bremer, who is disqualified, and keep an eye on the four players who are one yellow card away from suspension – Alex Sandro, Moise Kean, Manuel Locatelli and Adrien Rabiot.
