Juventus are reportedly very close to agreeing a deal with Valencia for Uruguayan defender Facundo Gonzalez, who was also linked with Milan and Salernitana.

The centre-back only turned 20 last month and his contract with Valencia was due to expire in June 2024, making him a bargain on the transfer market.

According to Sky Sport Italia expert Gianluca Di Marzio, Juve are expected to complete the deal next week.

They have agreed personal terms with Gonzalez and a basic fee with Valencia, but need a few more days to work out the details.

Gonzalez plays for the Valencia B team and the Uruguay Under-20 side, receiving a call-up to the senior squad, but not yet making an appearance for them.

Although Milan and Salernitana had shown an interest, they did not make a formal offer for the player, claim Calciomercato.com.
