Juventus are on the verge of signing Nico Gonzalez on loan with obligation to buy for €30m after Fiorentina left him out of their friendly squad.
The Argentina international had also been linked with Atalanta, after Brighton and Hove Albion failed to tempt him to the Premier League last season.
According to transfer expert Matteo Moretto, Calciomercato.com and more, the deal is imminent to bring him to Turin.
It will be a loan with obligation to buy at the end of the season for circa €30m.
That figure could be lowered with the inclusion of a player in part-exchange, such as Weston McKennie, but he would need to first drop his outlandish wage demands.
Nico Gonzalez among many Juventus options
Juve had also been tracking other options for the wide attacking role, including Borussia Dortmund star Karim Adeyemi and FC Porto man Galeno.
Jadon Sancho was also an early candidate, but he was ruled out after surprisingly ending the feud with Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag.
Meanwhile, Fiorentina dropped a hint that Nico Gonzalez is heading for the exit by leaving him out of the squad for tomorrow’s friendly match against SC Freiburg.
