Reports in Italy claim Federico Chiesa’s visit with knee specialist Christian Fink today had a positive outcome with major injuries excluded.

It was a predictable conclusion given that exams undergone last week in Turin ruled out lesions for the Italy international who had been subbed on and off in the space of 17 minutes during Juventus‘ 1-0 win over Inter before the international break.

Massimiliano Allegri said after the game that Chiesa was dealing with tendinitis and was “a little scared.”

Therefore, he travelled to Austria on Monday for a visit with knee specialist Fink. He is the same doctor who performed surgery on the Juventus star after his ACL injury in January 2022.

However, it is not the same leg as Chiesa now has problems in his right knee, while the one that required surgery more than a year ago was the left one.

According to Sky Sport Italia and Romeo Agresti, Fink reassured Chiesa that no severe injury affected him, so the Italy international will continue his recovery in Turin, where he has already returned.

His teammate Filip Kostic is expected to undergo examination in the coming hours after sustaining a minor injury while on international duty with Serbia.
