Paul Pogba underwent a round of medical tests that left Juventus feeling optimistic, although they’re aware that his return is still a little while away.

The 30-year-old Frenchman’s return to the Bianconeri has been seriously derailed by a knee injury, which required an invasive operation back in September.

Pogba has been mostly sidelined ever since, making just two cameo appearances for 35 minutes total before again being ruled out of action, suffering a muscle injury whilst practicing free kicks in training.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Pogba underwent a round of tests at J-Medical on Wednesday, which showed some positive signs.

Juventus are feeling cautiously optimistic about the Frenchman’s condition, but he still won’t return to Massimiliano Allegri’s squad just yet, needing more time to recover.

Fans have started to grow increasingly impatient with Pogba, who did little to help his case after he was seen skiing on holiday during the winter break.
