Juventus captain Danilo is likely to miss out on his side’s upcoming trip to Verona in Serie A this weekend after skipping training with a minor injury concern, according to Satuday’s reports.

Danilo doubtful ahead of Verona-Juventus

The 33-year-old was not involved in Thiago Motta’s training session at Continassa on Saturday, as he has suffered bruising to the heel of his left foot.

He will report for a new round of medical assessments at JMedical on Sunday to see if he will be able to have any involvement for Monday night’s Serie A clash away against Verona.

Danilo was an unused substitute for Juve’s first league game of the season, an entertaining 3-0 victory over newly-promoted Como, where his replacement, Andrea Cambiaso, scored the final goal in impressive fashion in the first minute of second-half injury time.

The Bianconeri skipper had also appeared off the bench in Juve’s most recent pre-season friendly, a 2-0 loss to Atletico Madrid in Sweden.
