Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri has been named Serie A coach of the month for November.
Juventus secured two victories and one draw last month, helping the Livorno-born tactician be recognised as the best coach of November.
Allegri will receive the award this coming Friday, before Juventus’ Serie A meeting with Napoli at the Allianz Stadium in Turin.
“Max Allegri is one of the great ‘Maestri’ of our football and this year he has made Juventus a perfect mix of young and more experienced players, bringing them back to being one of the main title contenders,” said Lega Serie A CEO Luigi De Siervo.
“His extraordinary experience and strong character are allowing him to manage a squad that has had to deal with important absences. His Juventus, which keeps going head-to-head with Inter, continues to be the team with the longest unbeaten series in the Championship”.
Juventus currently sit second in the Serie A table, two points below leaders Inter. The Old Lady has scored 22 goals in 14 matches, conceding nine times. Only Inter have conceded fewer goals in the opening 14 Serie A games of 2023-24, seven.
The Bianconeri and the Nerazzurri met in Turin in November, collecting a 1-1 draw with goals from Dusan Vlahovic and Lautaro Martinez.
Allegri’s contract at the Allianz Stadium expires in June 2025.
The Livorno-born tactician won 11 titles in his first five years in charge of Juventus between 2014 and 2019, but the Serie A giants finished the last two seasons under the 56-year-old empty-handed.
Oh boy, the Allegri haters are going to be bashing their heads against the wall for a whole week now 😀
Must have been a slow month. If we compare his debatable one good month to all of his very bad ones, then he’s still a hell of a long way behind.
@Serie A
But we’re not comparing one month to any other are we?
He only got it because Rudi Garcia was sacked.🤣
