Atalanta and Juventus have made an approach for Fiorentina and Argentina international striker Nico Gonzalez, claim reports.
The 26-year-old only recently signed a new contract to June 2028 and had already rejected a potential move to Brighton and Hove Albion last season.
However, his status in Florence does not seem to be anywhere near as solid as it used to be a few months ago and he could be ready to move on.
Nico Gonzalez could leave Fiorentina
It had already been suggested over the last few days that Atalanta were interested in signing Nico Gonzalez.
Now Calciomercato.com claim that Juventus have also contacted the Viola man’s entourage to ask after his availability this summer.
It would be a very difficult move to go through, as Fiorentina and Juve are bitter rivals, with further tension created by the Dusan Vlahovic and Federico Chiesa transfers.
Any move would have to be worth in the region of €30m and that might be beyond both Atalanta and Juve’s budget.
Curiously, La Dea could be boosted if Juventus manage to purchase Teun Koopmeiners from the Bergamo side.
