Juventus ask Roma for Veretout after Pogba injury

Juventus are still waiting to find out how long Paul Pogba will be out for, so have reportedly asked Roma for Jordan Veretout on loan.

Pogba is set for a specialist consultation today to decide on the course of treatment for the lesion to the lateral meniscus in his right knee.

With at least a month on the side-lines and possibly far more, Juve are looking for other alternatives.

According to Radio Radio, they have asked Roma for the availability of Veretout on a paid loan for the rest of this season.

Veretout is not part of Jose Mourinho’s plans at the Stadio Olimpico and has also been linked with Olympique Marseille and Milan.

The 29-year-old is also a France international with five senior caps and his contract with the Giallorossi runs to June 2024.

Veretout has 166 Serie A appearances under his belt, scoring 33 goals and providing 13 assists.
