Juventus reportedly approached Daniele De Rossi to join them as a free agent, but he’ll either stay at Roma or go to MLS.
The midfielder’s contract is due to expire at the end of the season and he is still negotiating a renewal.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juve sent out feelers to see if De Rossi would be interested in moving to Turin.
They see it as a similar situation to Andrea Pirlo, who was released by Milan and joined the Bianconeri as a free agent, going on to several more years at the top.

It’s even suggested some of De Rossi’s Italy international teammates approached him to ask if he was interested in Juventus, such as Gigi Buffon, Leonardo Bonucci, Andrea Barzagli, Giorgio Chiellini and Claudio Marchisio.
However, the Rome native said no and is in negotiations for a contract renewal with the Giallorossi, even if it would halve his current €6.5m per year wages.
If De Rossi does leave the Stadio Olimpico, it will only be for America, where several MLS clubs are ready to offer massive wages.
