According to multiple reports in Italy, both Juventus and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Roma‘s Nicolò Zaniolo and the Old Lady could offer a swap deal to secure the services of the Italy international in the summer.

Zaniolo sees his current Roma deal expire in June 2024, but Giallorossi director Tiago Pinto said yesterday that he ‘can’t guarantee’ that the 22-year-old will remain at the Stadio Olimpico next season.

Juventus’ Federico Cherubini and Tottenham’s Fabio Paratici are long time admirers of the versatile midfielder and both of them are expected to make their move for Zaniolo in the summer.

Pinto: ‘No guarantees’ Zaniolo stays at Roma, while Chelsea have Abraham clause

According to Tuttosport, Juventus could offer either Moise Kean or Weston McKennie in a player-plus-cash swap deal.

Zaniolo is described as the ‘perfect profile’ for the new Juventus course, being young, Italian and with a relatively low salary (€2.5m per season).

Paratici, on the other hand, has been monitoring the Italy midfielder for a long time and wanted to bring him to Juventus before Zaniolo collected two ACL injuries in 2020.

Roma will soon resume contract talks with their starlet, knowing that both Juve and Spurs are keeping a close eye on him.

6 thought on “Juventus and Tottenham consider move for Zaniolo in the summer”
  1. For me he has to play for 12 more months in Roma injury free
To be fair on the lad he has broken both of his legs and surgery
This was same for other players and will not be same again
Feel sorry for him as he had such a bright future and these injuries destroyed him

If Juve buy him they will have a cheaper version of Ramsey
    They need more stronger players
What is wrong worth Italian players right now with major injuries

  2. I hope Juve throw everything Juve to sign him, for me, he’s a superstar in the making. There’s obvious questions marks over his fitness and injury record, but I believe that he’s worth the risk.

Including Moise Kean would be a mistake (as they’re best mates and he would be more of a draw for the player), if anything, they should include Rabiot.

  3. From a Milan fan, I’m jealous Juve is going after all the talents I wanted (Vlahovic, Zakaria, Zaniolo). And that they are willing to get italian players and represent the country, milan have lost their way in this but at least Juve can keep italians proud
