The Bianconeri cemented their fourth spot on Sunday by beating Spezia 1-0 at home. They extended their lead over Atalanta to six points, with La Dea falling against José Mourinho’s Roma at the Stadio Olimpico. Gian Piero Gasperini’s men still have a game in hand.
Juventus and Roma are the best teams in Italy in the last seven games. They have collected 15 points each since mid-January, just one more than Maurizio Sarri’s Lazio, who collected 14 points in the same period, as many as Hellas Verona and Napoli.
Current Serie A leaders Milan have managed 12 points in the last seven games, followed by Fiorentina and Sassuolo at 11.
Inter returned to winning ways on Friday, beating last-placed Salernitana 5-0. Simone Inzaghi’s men ended a winless streak of four games. The defending Serie A champions have earned nine points since January 16.
