Max Allegri tested Matthijs de Ligt with Giorgio Chiellini, dropping Leonardo Bonucci for Juventus, while Milan have few options in attack and lose Davide Calabria too.

It kicks off on Sunday at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT) at the Allianz Juventus Stadium in Turin.

There had been reports De Ligt would be sent to the bench in order to complete the UEFA EURO 2020 winning defensive pairing of Bonucci and Chiellini.

However, Goal.com now claim that in today’s final training session, Allegri tested out De Ligt with Chiellini.

This is almost a new partnership at Juve, because usually it’s Chiellini who makes way for De Ligt, whereas Bonucci tends to be ever-present.

There are other concerns for the coach, as Federico Chiesa is still in doubt, having missed the recent matches against Napoli and Malmo.

We could see almost the same starting XI that won in Sweden midweek, with Juan Cuadrado in a more advanced role.

As for Milan, Stefano Pioli has precious few choices to make, because he is missing six players for the trip to Turin.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Olivier Giroud, Davide Calabria, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Rade Krunic and Junior Messias are out of action.

It leaves only Ante Rebic as the centre-forward and there is the fear of fatigue after a midweek 3-2 Champions League defeat to Liverpool.

Alessandro Florenzi steps into the right-back role for Calabria, who has picked up a flexor issue, while Simon Kjaer may well be rested in favour of Alessio Romagnoli.

The good news is that Pietro Pellegri is ready to play and can be an option off the bench.

Probable line-ups

Juventus (4-4-2): Szczesny; Danilo, De Ligt, Chiellini, Alex Sandro; Cuadrado, Bentancur, Locatelli, Rabiot; Dybala, Morata

Milan: Maignan; Florenzi, Romagnoli, Tomori, Theo Hernandez; Kessie, Tonali; Saelemaekers, Brahim Diaz, Leao; Rebic
