Juventus and Manchester United are interested in hiring former Lille director of sport Luis Campos, according to Sky Sports UK.

This is hardly the first time that Campos has been linked with a move to Italy, although he had been on the short-list for Roma before they hired fellow Portuguese chief Tiago Pinto.

He left Lille following a series of disagreements with the club President in December and is a free agent.

Sky Sports UK claim that Juventus and Manchester United are the most likely destinations for Campos, with Arsenal in the background.

Fabio Paratici's contract is running down at Juve and he has been increasingly in the spotlight for his decisions since Beppe Marotta left Turin.

Campos has become known as a master of making profits on players, rebuilding Monaco in 2013 and then Lille.

“In modern football the presence of an experienced sporting director is fundamental,” Campos told Sky Sports News UK.

“The biggest and best clubs in the world are always looking to get the best professionals to optimise their results.

“I consider myself privileged to be on the shortlist of clubs of this profile, and obviously feel proud and honoured about it.

“The Premier League is considered one of the most competitive in the world. As a competitor, I would obviously like the challenge.”
