Juventus and Man Utd receive boost in hopes to sign Dembele for free

There are growing reports that Ousmane Dembele will leave Barcelona at the end of his contract in the summer with Juventus and Manchester United interested.

The French winger sees his contract expire at the end of the season and Sky Sport Italia’s Matteo Moretto reports that his agent hasn’t reached an agreement with the La Liga giants over a new deal.

Earlier this week, Sport.es reported that the Catalans can’t offer the former Borussia Dortmund star a pay rise given their financial struggles.

Juventus and Manchester United are reportedly interested in securing his services and so are Chelsea and Liverpool.

The Red Devils are believed to be in pole position as they have been in contact with the player’s entourage for a long time.

Manchester United were close to signing him on loan with an option to buy in 2020, but the deal collapsed as Dembele refused to sign a contract extension with Barcelona, which was one of the conditions to finalise the agreement.

As of today, there is still no agreement between Dembele and Barcelona so, starting from January, Dembele can sign a pre-contract agreement with any other club ahead of a free move in the summer.
