Juventus and Inter target Leandro Paredes admits he’d like to play for Real Madrid.

The former Roma and Empoli midfielder could leave Paris in the summer and both Juventus and Inter have been linked with securing his services in July. His contract at the Parc des Princes expires in 2023.

Paredes has played 71 games in Serie A but doesn’t seem entirely convinced to return to Italy.

“I’d like to play for Real Madrid. Every player dreams of wearing that shirt. It’s such an important club,” he told TyC Sports.

“However, I respect my club, PSG, and am happy here.”

A product of Boca Juniors’ academy, Paredes also revealed that he’d never play for Boca’s biggest rivals River Plate.

The Argentina international joined PSG from Zenit for €40m in January 2019. He is not a regular starter under Mauricio Pochettino but has still managed 22 appearances across all competitions this term.

Earlier this week, La Gazzetta dello Sport reported that both Inter and Juventus are monitoring the former Giallorossi star, but PSG want €15-18m to sell him. The Nerazzurri need a back-up for Marcelo Brozovic, while Juventus want to add quality in the middle of the park, but their primary target is Lazio‘s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
