This will be only the third time that Inter and Juventus have faced off in the Coppa Italia Final, as the Old Lady won in 1959 and 1965.

The match kicks off at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome on Wednesday at 20.00 UK time (19.00 GMT).

It will be decided after 90 minutes, or if necessary going to extra time and penalties.

Despite being historically perhaps the two biggest clubs in the country, hence the fixture earning the nickname Derby d’Italia, seeing them go head-to-head in a Coppa Italia Final is very rare indeed.

They’ve only crossed paths twice before for the trophy and it hasn’t happened for 57 years.

That was a 1-0 Juventus victory on August 29, 1965, decided by the Giampaolo Menichelli goal just 14 minutes in.

Before that, their first final was a more dramatic 4-1 Juventus result on September 13, 1959, despite the fact Inter had home advantage playing at San Siro.

John Charles had opened the scoring, followed by a Sergio Cervato brace and Omar Sivori’s strike.

Mauro Bicicli had got Inter back to 2-1 at the 36th minute.

  1. Dennis, 57 years since Inter and Juve met in a coppa Italia final. That’s how much the Winter Champions suck because Juve are usually in every other final.
