Sky Sport Italia confirms Danilo has agreed to sign a contract extension with Juventus.

Danilo’s current deal expires in June 2024 and according to the report, he has agreed to extend until 2025 with an option until 2026. He won’t get a pay rise, but his salary will remain the same.

The former Real Madrid and Manchester City defender currently gets €4m per season at the Allianz Stadium.

He released an interview with Tuttosport newspaper on Tuesday suggesting that he’d put pen to paper on a new agreement soon.

During the interview, he also revealed that he would like to become a coach at the end of his playing career.

Danilo joined Juventus from Manchester City in 2019 in a swap deal involving Joao Cancelo. He has scored seven goals in 138 appearances with the Old Lady.

The 31-year-old has become one of the leaders in the dressing room at the Allianz Stadium and was given the captain’s armband in a 3-3 draw against Atalanta in Turin in January.
