Juventus and Chelsea value Lukaku and Vlahovic differently

Talks continue between Juventus and Chelsea over a possible swap deal involving Romelu Lukaku and Dusan Vlahovic, but there is a considerable gap in the teams’ valuations of the players.

Reports earlier in the week detailed how a part-exchange deal could be the solution to Juve’s attempts to bring Lukaku to the Allianz Stadium for the 2023-24 season, with Dusan Vlahovic moving in the other direction.

It had previously been reported that the Bianconeri would need to move Vlahovic on if they were to bring Lukaku in.

Now, Chelsea seem willing to take Vlahovic on board in exchange for Lukaku according to multiple reports, but the Londoners will have to pay a fee on top of Lukaku’s services.

La Gazzetta dello Sport highlighted on Wednesday that Juve would like €40m plus Lukaku for Vlahovic, but Chelsea ideally would like to pay half of that figure, i.e. €20m.

Chelsea have not yet submitted an official offer, but La Gazzetta claim that the offer would likely only reach €20m with the inclusion of bonuses.

Despite the difference in valuations, talks are still said to be on and progressing.
