According to recent reports, Juventus and defender Gleison Bremer are both keen to continue their solid working relationship and are in discussions over a potential contract renewal.

Both La Gazzetta dello Sport and Tuttomercato have reported that negotiations are underway between the Brazilian’s entourage and representatives from the Old Lady.

Bremer is already tied to Juve until the summer of 2027, but Friday’s reports suggest there is a desire to extend that by a further year until 2028 on roughly the same terms as those that the Brazilian currently earns.

Bremer reportedly takes home an annual wage packet of around €4m plus bonuses, which Juve are hoping to avoid having to increase.

The 26-year-old had a solid first season at the Allianz Stadium after arriving on a deal estimated to be worth €50m from cross-city rivals Torino in the summer of 2022.

There had been interest in Bremer in the most recent transfer rumour, particularly from Tottenham in the Premier League, but Friday’s reports indicate that the player had no real intention of ever leaving Juventus after just one year.
