Juventus and Barcelona are studying different ways of making the Memphis Depay deal work, including a loan with obligation to buy.

The striker joined the Blaugrana as a free agent last summer and his contract runs to June 2023, but he is not expected to get any playing time this season following the arrival of so many strikers.

Meanwhile, the Bianconeri are seeking a forward who can either play with or in place of Dusan Vlahovic, so versatility is the key.

According to Mundo Deportivo, sources close to Barcelona confirm Juventus are among the contenders to sign Depay.

Finding a deal that can suit everyone will be tricky, but one alternative could be for the Netherlands international to extend his contract with Barcelona to June 2024, then join Juventus on loan with an obligation to buy for €20m in the summer of 2023.

Other clubs interested in Depay include Manchester United, Olympique Lyonnais, Tottenham, Newcastle United and PSG, but Juventus remain the favourites.
