Inter remain confident they will convince Tiago Djalò to join as a free agent from LOSC, but Juventus and Atletico Madrid are reportedly making improved proposals for January.

The Portuguese defender has been out of action since March following surgery for a serious anterior cruciate ligament injury and that saw contract talks also grind to a halt.

His current deal will expire at the end of the season and he seems to be a valuable free agent on the market.

Inter have long been working on this profile and hope to secure the 23-year-old next season.

However, La Gazzetta dello Sport warn that Juve and Atletico Madrid are starting to push much harder for the Portugal international, ready to swoop in January with an offer for Lille and a salary that would equal the Inter proposal.

Tiago Djalò is a particularly impressive figure because of his versatility, able to play as a centre-back, on the right or left.

The player is no stranger to Italy, having spent six months at the Milan youth academy in 2019 before the €4m sale to Lille as part of the Rafael Leao transfer.
